The Big Box Scheme Fishing Trip

Location :
An evening of mackeral fishing, leaving from North Shields we''ll go out over a few wrecks and catch some of the most accomodating mackeral you''ll ever eat. The plan is to bbq some of the catch on the boat but this is subject to the sea being reasonably calm We''ll have a picnic packed just in case and you can take your catch home. We''ll do some filleting demos too, so can deal with your catch easily.

Steak night

Come and join us for a steak night at the coffee shop on 31st July, your choice of steak cooked however you like it.
Choose from rib, rump, fillet or sirloin of dexter beef. Salads from the garden and Beth''s heart stopping twice cooked chips will be accompanying and there will be a choice of cakes, puds and coffee to follow.

Bring your own wine or beer and let us know if your looking for or offering a car share and we''ll sort out the rest

A day at the Great Northumberland Bread Co.

A day with Matthew at his wood fired bakery in Etal, we''ll go through some basic recipes with everyone having a go at making a few loaves. Matthew will take us through how he makes a variety of his popular loaves which you can then enjoy with an organic lunch provided by us at the bakery.
Let us know if your looking for a lift or have space that you can offer.Spaces are limited to the first 12 who order online. Box scheme members and guests only.

Join us at the coffee shop August''s seasonal dinner created mostly using produce from our farm and all cooked from scratch by Beth.

Mackeral beetroot and new potato salad with horseradish dressing
Courgette fritters with tomato and feta salsa
Mini toad in the hole with roasted baby onions
Mains..
Steak and ale pie with twice cooked chips
Fish pie made with chunks of seasonal fish topped with creamy mashed potato.
Cous cous with roasted seasonal vegetables, preserved lemon puree and balsamic dressing

Plum tart with clotted cream
Summer pudding
Sticky chocolate fudge cake

Free Turkey or Goose

With the first orders for our Christmas turkeys and geese we are getting asked for ideas of how best to prepare the bird on the big day. So why not join us on Novemeber 28th For great day of demonstration and a chance to get some hands on experience too. There will be coffee and mulled wine on arrival, and a lovely seasonal lunch.
Beth will show you some new techniques to get the best from your choice of bird as well as stuffings and what to do with the left overs.
After lunch you are welcome to join us for a walk to see the birds on the farm.
Aprrox 10am 2.30pm

Includes your choice of one of our oven ready organic turkeys or a goose approx 5kg which would normally cost around 6580.
