Open farm events
We are sorry to announce that we have cancelled our first open day of the year on 5th May due to the amazing weather we have been having. The early seeds that we planted are still extremely reluctant to show there heads and I don't blame them really. We will however be putting all of our efforts into the next event on June 15th.
We hope to get box scheme customers involved in the 'dirty' side of food production. This means lots of planting of our well nursed pumpkin plugs, sowing lettuce, cabbages, carrots and possibly some cauliflowers. We will have a brief tour of the farm followed by a hog/lamb roast, herb planting for the kids to take home, a name the calves competition, some demonstrations and talks from local producers, an organic wine tasting area and the usual cakes, pies, teas and coffees available from the outdoor kitchen. The weather has also held up construction work so on the new farm parking and access will be limited. Please book early to avoid dissapointment. Call or email. As usual this event is 100% free of charge to customers and guests of customers.
