ORGANIC RESEARCH ON BBC
We were amazed to see Nafferton Farm (the local university farm) on the bbc news this morning but are not surprised that research at the farm has shown that organic vegetables can contain 40% more nutrients than conventially grown alternatives, it also found organic milk upto 90% higher in nutrients.
This research adds a lot of wieght to the organic argument. Organic food is better for you, your family, your community, your region and eventually your planet. It is proven to support local economies around organic growers, is better value compared to processed food, reduces food miles and carbon footprint, employs more people locally and globally and really is the only sustainable way of producing food. Just more reasons to buy local, fresh, organic produce.
